Hello, I’m Melody Hawkins, an educator, author, SEL Ambassador, and founder of VisionLED. At VisionLED, we are deeply committed to enhancing the holistic growth and development experiences of youth, especially those in marginalized communities. I believe visionary leadership means having a clear vision for the future and inspiring others to work toward it. It’s about understanding how social-emotional well-being impacts youth success and embracing a holistic approach to their development that balances both emotional skills and academic achievement.
VisionLED was founded from my passion for connecting classroom learning with community experiences. As a middle school teacher in a high-needs community, I saw the power of collaboration between schools and community organizations in creating environments where youth thrive—both in school and beyond. We’re dedicated to empowering youth-serving organizations by providing the tools, strategies, and resources to help them create inclusive, supportive spaces where young people can grow and succeed.
